Yeah, well, a week with no comics updates. I’ve been super busy with my other projects, which I will get to in a minute. I think this coming week may not see any updates, and if it does, it will only be Wednesday. I’ve been thinking lately I may have to just reduce the updates per week so I have an attainable goal. I think Wednesday would be the most attainable day. Plus any time extra I have can go to creating a backlog of strips, which I don’t have right now.

Now the other project I’ve been working on is The LanternCast. A Green Lantern podcast that I co-host with Dan Kurtzke, and can be found at http://www.LanternCast.com. We have 20 episodes out and I just revamped the website and gave us a facebook page. Also, we just interviewed Chris Meloni, Detective Eliot Stabler on Law & Order: SVU who did the voice of Hal Jordan, the main character in Green Lantern: First Flight, a new animated DVD that just came out. That was very exciting and we have a lot more big things like that planned for the show. Strip 161 is going to be delayed till tomorrow on account of some other really exciting things happening for my other projects! I’ll be making an official announcement soon, but come on back tomorrow for the Friday strip on Saturday!

FW4D.com is now in full celebration mode! That banner modification is going be there for a little while for the 1 year mark, and will hopefully get replaced with something brand new when it’s run its course. I always knew FW4D would appeal to many more people than my last comic, Cow-Man. But anticipating it and experiencing it are 2 very different things. I’d like to thank my terrific fans who inspire me to keep going, the little comments left on the site always lift my spirits. Except those gibberish comments left by robots. Blasted robots. I’ve made some great contacts with other talented people and overall just have to say how amazing this last year has been. This comic saw a week where it got over 100 thousand hits! Beyond anything I was even hoping for.

And beyond the comic, I met the girl of my dreams and got engaged! I’ve made new friends! I started up a podcast with my cohost which is having much success even though it just started! What have I got lined up next? So much! Marriage at the end of the year, and display at a comic con next year. Beyond that, I’m just going to have to start dreaming even bigger now!

Sorry about missing Friday and today’s updates. I’ve got plenty more coming, just too busy to do them. I’m finally getting some free time back again, so updates should be back to normal by Wednesday!

I have not updated the blog in quite a while, so here’s a news update for the site. Things seem to be going a lot smoother with updates. I’m making them pretty much all on time again, and that should continue for the foreseeable future. Lots of different distractions should be easing up now in my life, in terms of illnesses, financial and other day to day stuff. My goal is to keep improving the comic, and things like getting better at coloring takes a lot of time to practice. My other goal is to actually show at a con, and have a book ready for it. Luckily that con that I have in mind isn’t until 2010, so I’ve got some time. I will keep you all posted.

Hi folks. I got into a car accident last week, which is why no comic updates. I’ll have them back up again as soon as I can. I wasn’t doing great after the accident, but I’m getting better pretty rapidly. All things considered, it could have been much worse.

Hey folks, just wanted to explain the lack of updates this week. I’m moving! I’m super busy boxing stuff up and getting ready for the move, but come next week we will be getting settled in and I should be able to resume the schedule. I’m shooting to have the strip going again by Monday, so come back then and check!

I would like to direct everyone’s attention to the new voting mechanism. It’s the 5 stars you see right under the comic. All you have to do is click on a star, and that rates the comic. This will let me know what everyone likes and doesn’t like, and ultimately will also help new readers find the best rated strips (once I figure out how to compile the best rated, that is).

I will also be getting rid of that big bar of tiny little icons under the blog in favor of just 2 bigger ones, Digg and Stumble Upon. So if you have an account with Digg, please Digg the strips, and I think anyone can do the Stumble Upon thing. This will increase readership which in turn makes me happy and that has to better for the comic, right?
